CTOS and CCRIS, decoded. Dormant cards closed. Stress, lifted.
A credit profile from the working years that nobody updated. Three credit cards with annual fees on cards you stopped using a decade ago. A hire-purchase plan whose balance has long since been paid but the lien is still on file. We work through it patiently.
What a credit health-check covers
Six places retirees usually find friction in their credit profile
- CTOS & CCRIS reports — pulled fresh, read out loud with you, and explained without jargon. Old entries that should have aged off are queried directly with the bureau.
- Dormant credit cards — annual-fee bleed from cards you stopped using; orderly closure letters that protect your credit score.
- Hire-purchase liens — discharge letters from the financier on cars you long since paid off, lodged with JPJ.
- Old PTPTN loans — for clients whose education loans were paid but the record never updated; we obtain the closure letter.
- AKPK referrals — where the figures genuinely warrant a debt management plan, we refer to AKPK and accompany the first appointment.
- BNM complaints — for unfair reporting or charges that the bank will not waive, we draft and lodge a formal BNMTELELINK complaint on your behalf.
How a credit review works
Two meetings, four weeks, a tidy file.
Meeting one · Pull, read, decide
We pull your CTOS and CCRIS reports with you in the room. Each entry is read aloud, classified as current / stale / disputed, and a decision made for each. Nothing is filed without your sign-off.
Between meetings · Letters and calls
We draft closure letters, dispute submissions and waiver requests. Banks reply within ten working days; bureaus within twenty-one. Each response is forwarded to you with a plain-English summary.
Meeting two · Status and plan
A short follow-up meeting — usually fifty minutes — with the cleaned report, a list of what has been actioned, and a plain note of anything you should not do next (such as taking a new card too soon after a closure).
A flat RM 420 for the full credit health-check including bureau report fees. Where AKPK referral is appropriate, AKPK's own service is free and we charge nothing for the introduction.
What clients tend to ask first
In Malaysia, the impact is usually small if the closures are spaced out and you are not actively applying for credit. We sequence the closures over two or three months to keep your CCRIS utilisation steady.
If the underlying loan was fully settled, yes — we lodge a dispute with the issuing bank and copy CCRIS. Most stale-entry corrections are processed within sixty days.
No. We do not lend, consolidate, or factor debt. Where consolidation is genuinely needed, AKPK is the right Malaysian destination and our referral is free.
Yes, with you on speaker. We will not negotiate in your name without your live consent on the call.
