What we help you find

Five quiet places where money tends to be left behind in Malaysia

Most over-55s we meet have at least two of these sitting unclaimed. Some have all five. Nothing here is exotic — just paperwork that nobody had time to chase.

Dormant EPF & KWAP balances

Forgotten i-Akaun logins, old employer contributions you never withdrew, and Akaun Emas dividends still compounding quietly in the background.

Government cash & subsidies

Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) gaps, e-Tunai Rakyat backpayments, MySalam co-payments and JKM hardship grants you may have skipped during the pandemic years.

Check eligibility →

Senior & household bill rebates

TNB senior discount, Indah Water rebates, telco "warga emas" plans, insurance auto-renewals you never authorised, double-charged Astro packages.

Trim the bills →

Estate paperwork before it's urgent

A simple Malaysian will, a list of accounts, named EPF and Tabung Haji nominees, and digital instructions — so the family knows what to do without guesswork.

Put it in order →

Debt & credit health-check

Restructuring legacy CTOS entries, closing dormant credit cards eating annual fees, and renegotiating a hire purchase that's long out of warranty.

Review credit →

A second pair of eyes, when family is far

For seniors whose children work outside KL or abroad, we sit in on agency calls, accompany the LHDN visit, and translate the bank manager's small print.

How a consult works

Three steps. Roughly six weeks. No surprises.

01

Discovery call · 45 min, complimentary

We listen first. Where you worked, the bills that worry you, the agencies you've already chased. No IC numbers or logins required at this stage — only the shape of the picture.

02

Trace & map · 14–21 days

With your signed consent, we open EPF i-Akaun, query JKM and LHDN records, audit five years of utility and telco statements, and compile a single one-page summary you can read at the kitchen table.

03

Claim, recover & close · 3–8 weeks

We submit each claim through official agency channels, follow up weekly, and keep you informed by WhatsApp. Recovered funds land directly in your bank account — never in ours.

Why Malaysians 55+ choose us

An advisory that moves at your pace, in your language, on your sofa if needed.

Quorabit Advisory was opened by two former bank-branch managers in 2019, after they watched too many retirees lose three afternoons to a single counter visit. We built the firm around one stubborn idea: that the people who deserve the most patient service are usually the ones offered the least.

  • Every client is paired with one senior advisor — not a rotating desk number.
  • Original documents stay with you. We work from scans inside an encrypted vault.
  • Home visits across the Klang Valley are part of the standard service, never an upsell.
  • Plain-English summaries are mailed to a family member if you choose to share.

Voices from the desk

A few of the Malaysians we've sat beside

After my husband passed, I had no idea his Akaun Emas was still earning dividends. Puan Suriani drove out to Klang twice to sit with me. They found everything in five weeks and the money went straight to my Maybank — not to them.
I was paying RM 138 a month for an Astro pack with channels I hadn't watched since 2014. Encik Daniel rang Astro for me on speakerphone, sorted it in seventeen minutes, and now I save more than my pensioner's MRT pass costs.

Frequently asked, gently answered

Questions Malaysian families tend to ask first

No. We are a private, independent advisory based in KLCC. We help you organise documents, understand entitlements, and submit claims through official channels — but we are not a branch, agent or representative of KWSP, KWAP, LHDN, or any government department.

The first 45-minute discovery call — by phone, WhatsApp video, or at our KLCC suite — is complimentary. We will not ask for your IC, EPF i-Akaun login, or any sensitive document during that first call. Only after you have decided to engage us do we move to verified documents.

A clean EPF i-Akaun trace typically takes 7–14 working days from the day we have your verified IC and signed consent. Government allowance reviews (STR, e-Tunai Rakyat backpayments, JKM hardship grants) range from 3 to 12 weeks depending on the agency and how recent the gap year is. We update you each Friday morning by WhatsApp until the case closes.

We work whichever way suits you. Most consultations happen in our KLCC suite over filter coffee, but our senior advisors visit clients in the Klang Valley at no extra charge when mobility, illness or distance make travel inconvenient. Outside the Klang Valley we offer secure video consultations on WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet — whichever your family already uses.

If a 30-day trace finds no recoverable funds and no eligible benefit, you owe nothing. We absorb the search cost. We would rather you leave knowing the books are clean than carry a fee for an empty report.

Original documents stay with you. We keep scanned copies in an encrypted client vault and shred working printouts within 30 days of case closure. Our advisors sign individual PDPA-aligned confidentiality undertakings; the firm carries professional indemnity cover of RM 2 million renewed annually with a local insurer.

Yes, with your written consent. Many of our clients prefer to bring a son or daughter to consultations. We provide a one-page authorisation form so a named family member can call, sit in on meetings and exchange documents with us — without surrendering control of your accounts. The form can be withdrawn or amended at any time.

If something feels left behind — let's go and look for it.

A short call costs nothing and rarely takes more than forty-five minutes. We will tell you, honestly, whether there is anything worth chasing.
